I’m a seafarer – can you help me find a job?

Martide Manning Latvia helps seafarers find work on various commercial vessels that are owned or operated by reputable companies. You can see our current vacancies here.

What is Martide Manning’s phone, WhatsApp, Telegram or Line number?

We do not accept applications over the phone or via messaging apps. If you would like to apply for one of our vacancies, please visit our website and apply online.

Can I visit the Martide Manning office in Riga in person?

We do not accept walk-ins as we prefer that you apply for vacancies online. If you need to come to the office in person, please schedule an appointment.

How do I apply for a maritime job through Martide Manning Latvia?

Visit our website’s online seafarer jobs board where you can search by rank or vessel type. When you find a vacancy you’re interested in, click the Details & Apply button and submit your application there. Note that you need a Martide account to apply.

How do I create a Martide account?

Go to Martide’s website and click the Sign Up button. You can then add your personal details, work experience, and documents to your seafarer profile. When you apply for a job on the jobs page, your profile will be sent automatically to the Crew Manager. They will get in touch with you if they wish to follow up with you.

Is registering with Martide Manning free?

Yes. Signing up and creating a seafarer account and profile is absolutely free.

Does Martide charge me to find me a job at sea?

No. Martide Manning will never charge seafarers for finding work. We do not take any payment from you at all, even if you are hired.

What types of ships do you recruit for?

Martide Manning Latvia recruits seafarers for most commercial vessels, including general cargo and container ships, bulk carriers, tankers, passenger and cruise ships, AHTS vessels, tugboats and more.

Do you have jobs for both Officers and Ratings?

Yes, Martide Manning Latvia advertises job vacancies for all ranks, including Officers and Ratings. We are frequently looking to recruit Masters, Officers, Engineers, ETOs, Electricians, Cooks, Bosuns, Able and Ordinary Seamen, Cadets, Wipers, Oilers and Messmen. We also have jobs for cruise ship crew in a range of departments.

Can I apply for jobs if I have no sea experience?

You are welcome to apply for any of Martide Manning Latvia’s jobs, however, it is at the Crew Manager / employer’s discretion whether or not they are willing to hire someone with no sea time.

How often are new jobs posted on Martide?

Generally speaking, new seafarer jobs are posted on Martide’s jobs board on a daily basis.

Can I apply for jobs from any country?

You are welcome to apply for any of Martide Manning’s jobs, however, it is up to the Crew Manager / employer’s requirements which nationalities they are looking to employ.

Can I apply for multiple positions at the same time?

Yes, you are very welcome to apply for as many of Martide Manning’s jobs as you like.

How will I know if my application has been successful?

If your application is successful, the Crew Manager or Manning Agent will contact you to follow up.

What happens after I submit my job application?

Your Martide seafarer profile will be sent to the Crew Manager or Manning Agent who will then assess your suitability for the position. They will contact you directly if they wish to speak to you.

Why haven’t I heard back from anyone about my application?

This could be because the Crew Manager is still processing all the applications they’ve received or because your application has unfortunately not been successful.

Can I update my profile and documents online?

Yes! We highly recommend that you keep your Martide seafarer profile up-to-date and that you add changes and upload new documents as soon as you can. This way, Crew Managers will be more likely to contact you about your application or their jobs.

Will the company pay for my travel and who arranges it?

Your travel expenses will be paid by the employer, and your travel schedule and tickets are arranged by Martide Manning.
